Lincolnshire Forest Schools Network
Twice a year a network of trained or training Forest Schools practitioners get together to share ideas and discuss good practice. It is free and open to all in Lincolnshire (and nearby counties) and we meet at a different setting each time.
Our last meeting was at Saunton Montessouri Nursery School, Nr Newark and we focused on creative activities, including extracting colour from leaves using a mallet, learnt how to build an 'upside down fire' and helped Emma to develop their fire circle by felling a tree. Good old Adrian was on hand to give us all a lesson in safe felling. We also got the opportunity to watch and work with a group of 2 - 4 year olds which was very interesting especially for those of us working mostly with teenagers. Bacon, sausages, and lentil moussaka were on the menu.
Next meeting will be in March 2012 - watch this space for the date.
